Vita Nova Terms of Use

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to agree to these terms.

Educational purpose; no medical advice

Vita Nova helps you record and display fertility observations. Its content, chart interpretations, reminders, and rules are for general education only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they do not assure that pregnancy will be achieved or avoided.

Ask a qualified healthcare professional about medical questions, and learn a natural family planning method from a trained instructor before relying on it for family-planning decisions. Never ignore professional advice or delay seeking care because of something in Vita Nova.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, how you interpret your chart, protecting your device and exported files, and the decisions you make. Charting methods can be misunderstood or used incorrectly, and no software can remove those risks.

Free trial and lifetime unlock

You can try Vita Nova free for seven days from activation. After that, an optional one-time purchase unlocks lifetime access (US$5 in the United States; your app store shows your local price before you buy). There is no subscription and no automatic charge when the trial ends. When the trial ends, charting features lock until you choose the lifetime unlock; your saved chart is kept and JSON backup stays available.

On iOS, the trial and purchase are restored with the same App Store account. On Android, the free week starts once for your verified trial account and resumes when you sign in again. Deleting an account, resetting chart data, or reinstalling does not restart the trial. Lifetime purchases are restored through the store account used to buy them.

Your app store processes payments and handles refunds under its own policies.

License and acceptable use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Vita Nova for lawful, noncommercial purposes on devices you own or control, consistent with your app store's rules. Do not interfere with the app or its account and purchase services, attempt unauthorized access, or copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly allows it.

Your data

Your chart is stored on your device. Keep your own backups; local data can be lost, for example if the app is removed or a device is lost. The Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.

Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise that the app will always be available, error-free, compatible with every device, or that stored data can always be recovered.

No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, Vita Nova is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thomistico LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, loss of data, or decisions or outcomes arising from your use of Vita Nova. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.

Independence

Vita Nova is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any organization or method provider. The app and its content belong to Thomistico LLC or its licensors.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. You may stop using Vita Nova at any time. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
